Original Message 1/3 07-Mar-03 @ 02:17 AM - Good USB keyboard controller
recording rig. I've been looking at some of the USB keyboards and have
narrowed my list down to these:
Edirol PCR-30 (or PCR-50)
M-Audio Oxygen
Evolution MK-225C (or MK-361C)
Novation ReMOTE25 (whenever it's released)
My concern is whether or not the "latency" I've heard about is still a
problem. Has there been any issues with any of these and motherboards with
VIA chipsets? Any issues with Win2K (I'm not switching to XP unless it
becomes 100% necessary).
The Edirol stuff looks nice, but I've never been a fan of Roland's
insistance on combining mod and pitch on the same controller (the evolution
and m-audio units have a seperate pitch and mod wheel). The Oxygen is
starting to show it's age compared to the newer units, and the Novation is
prolly going to be too expensive.
Which would you choose and why?
