Mac users help!

I re-installed my mac the other day. First, I backed up my logic song files & Audio Data (wavs) over the network to my pc,
and then copied them back again onto my mac.

Now, for some reason, I can't open any of these files in logic - they're all greyed out in the 'File-Open' dialog.

I'm running Mac Os 10.2.4 (just as I was before I re-installed it).

Also, strangely, the wavs my sample library that I burnt to cd and copied to the mac's hard drive, are also greyed out when trying to load them into ESX24.

Help! I'm a new mac user and I'm sure there must be some pc - mac file copying issue that I don't understand.

Does anyone know?

Thanks,
Alex..

maybe it's some admin issue?

dunno, sounds weird.

maybe try burning the files onto a cd and then try
loading them off of that.

Preface this with the fact that I've never touched a mac before, but Lawp will do that if you don't have the audio drivers setup correctly. Can you play other audio files? Record ? Hear vst synths (or AU) ?

Flor.

I've actually sent my mac back for repair - it was acting a little bit slow...like, muting a midi track would take a second or two to respond, and the icons in the dock and desktop were all "speckled" and dodgy looking. Maybe corrupt graphics memory?

Still doesn't explain why I've had these file problems since copying them to my pc.

Oh well....thanks for your replies guys, I'll let you know if I ever solve it

I am running the same and i only have 400 mhz.
don't laugh. :-) it does run, quitte extensive.

But i don't have a problem in the Matrix.

So maybe it has got to do with the video card.
I personally don't know how ecxactly it would affect
eachother, but i know you should use an AGP videocard,
not PCI. When the videocard and your soundcard i/o are
both PCI, It bites eachother, so i heard.
If u don't use a soundcard: this info is useless.
