Im trying to do a sample rate conversion and at the end of the processing it says it cant complete because the volume or file is locked.

were would i Unlock them at?

Um, if the Sample is on a CD ROM, you might want to copy it to your HD first.

...And then ensure that the file properties are not set to read-only. The file may also be in use by another application.

...And then ensure you have your samples on a harddrive and not on a readonly device, like a CD ROM for instance.

You'd be surprised what people do with Sample CDs...

I know what you meant Boo. What I was trying to say, is that when you copy a file from CD to a HD its attributes will still identify it as a read only file.

I see what you're saying, buddy

On my Mac, I've never had that prob when I've got samples off a CD - Maybe it's a PC thing?
