Hi all,

have been trying to find what drum machine the percussion (cloppy) sound is from in the above sample....anybody recognise the sound? if so what machine is it from?...

your probably right- i found it well reminiscent of a classic 80's machine (ive samples of most of these just couldn't remember which box it came from) and need to dig it out- im thinking its an dmx or something..

definately 80s. it's got 2 samples, like a low and hi cowbell

maybe alesis? wild stab in the dark though.

potentially- ive thought sod it and flashed up the plethora of 80's dm samples i have, and am trawling throu the cowbells and percussion...but didnt think of the alesis....i know i could just use a cowbell sample just want that cheesy element- as a sort of homage ala fromage...

Sounds alesis to me... I had a DM4 several years ago, sounds a bit like that, but... well, it could be any old drum machine really! shrug
