I've been putting serious thought into purchasing an Akai
S-1100 sampler, but I have a question, and I'm hoping
someone here can clarify it. I currently own a roland SP-
808, but the problem with that is it can't retrigger samples
while the same sample is playing, almost like it's
"monophonic". For example, if i have a sample of a snare
drum saved in one sample slot, i can't play that sample
repeatedly to create a drum roll as you could with an MPC
2000. I would have to duplicate the sample multiple times,
and then trigger each duplicated sample in succession. i
was ondering if this flaw ails the s-1100, or can a sample
be retriggered as the MPC 2000 can? I haven't been able to
get my hands on a demo of the S-1100, and therefore can't
try before I buy. any help?

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!
