i remember when we talked about this some years ago in the chat :p
hehe. will surely give it a try.
cheers, m.

Will have to give it a try... looks nice...

those of you w/ reaktor are laughing, i know..
will pop up a fix soon.. forgot to put the filter mode selecting switch on..

hmm... now i can maybe go back to vocals, and finaly achieve that effect i've been after for the last 5 years or so...
cheers, m.

it works fine when i play it from keyboard, but preprogrammed stuff is uh-uh.
any idea why that is?
---edited edit---
ergh... it was the "auto" button. apparently logic needs to load the sample again when you press play. must have forgotten this is another "thinkware" release i guess . ok, now i got it sorted, and i can say i'll be into this like i havent been into another mangling tool in quite a while.

i've kind of figured out what all the things in the load and oscilator sections do, along with *some* modulation stuff, but i dont think i've figured the lfo's out yet. also, maybe some visual markings around the knobs wouldnt be bad for fine work. we are talking about capturing single oscilation samples after all.

first off.. a new version of the .sep has been released, so more soon :p
the browser loads the smaple into a synthedit 'waveplayer,' which is a one-shot affair.. the snatcher is a separate module, which doesn't have a browser function, so, yeah,y ou got it about the reloading the sample on hitting play.. i have to do the same thing in logic 4 (using the 'auto' function, which 'records' the sample from the waveplayer to the samplesnatcher) which means whenever you run your transport, it's gonig to go silent for a few seconds, so don't use it at the beginning of a song.. :p
i don't get this in se as a host, so i think it's just us lucky logicians.
the start and end are absolute 0-10 and correspond to sample position %.. the 'sweep' runs 0-10 and affects both.. so if start is at 5 and sweep is at 5, the actual start = 10, which means silence..
the lfos adjust values in both directions (+ and -) except the 'bias' controls, which are waveshapers, have a tendency to lump the lfo to one side.. ie. transform a sine lfo into a negative modulation with quick peaks into the positive..
..another thing is, i'm not sure if it's just a function of modulating a loop point or if it's due to the .sep's 10ms crossfade.. but i've noticed some 'unexpected' results with faster modulations, ie. a slow lfo to sweep position is scrolling nicely through a particular section of sample.. but if you change the rate of the lfo to really fast, it seems like it also adjusts the range of the lfo more towards the beginning of the sample..
as said, not sure if this is shortcoming of the reaction time of the .sep module, or some aspect of the method i'm not cogitating..
afa single cycles.. the only way to tune them is by ear. i'm hoping jeff will institute some kined of waveform display in the future maybe straight to c++
anyway.. more, different versions (ie. one with granular style functions) loop-in-release will work in the future..
..vocals. glad other people are interested in exploiting this particular mechanism

a granular-ey version. trims variation amounts to start, end, pitch. had to use a feedback module to s&h modulation to pitch et c. during looping (end of loop throws pulse, so essentially routing end of signal back into front) so no amp, and the directional stuff doesn't seem to be so happenin (ie. there's a fwd-rev option on the lfo that might not have any effect most of the time.. :p) ignore all that, is good!
anyway, i did what i could best make of the workable options.. didn't take time to patch it, gotta go use it.
