i am asking this for a friend that has a mpc2000xl and tried to add a zip drive....
he had to get a adapter cable to connect the zip to the 2000xl. but unfortunately when he tries to get it to save to the zip it wont work.... so is there some kind of patch that is needed to operate the zip with the 2000xl or is there a specific zip or hard drive that will only work with the 2000xl? or what is he possibly doing wrong? any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.... thanks ... Ken

make sure your mpc is saving to the right SCSI ID (either 5 or 6, selected by a switch on the zip drive) and also make sure that the terminator switch is on, on the zip drive.
