Recently I have started thinking about gathering some friends and doing improvised laptop jams.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
One thing that I have thinking about then is synchronizing the computers. Of course if everyone had midi ports you could just assign to send midi clock and hook up the others via som kind of midi hub. But I have been thinking if it is possible to send the midi over a lan instead.
I found this:
http://www.musiclab.com/products/rpl_info.htm
which seems to be pretty much what I'm looking for. But although I wouldn't call it expensive it's a bit more then I'd like to spend on it.
Does anyone know of a free variant? (Prefferably also working on macs.)
