Holy jeeeeeezus

Just got the Mackie Hr824's Hooked up after waiting 3 weeks for Mackie to get em back in stock.

These things are fucking LOUD as fook - crystal clear all the way as far as ive been able to turn em up (still waiting on clip light to show)

The bottom end definition is fuckin first class btw- ideal for anyone mixing for the clubs, can totally hear whats happening.

they are sitting a coupla foot out from side or back walls and still have to treat the room but so far these are sounding incredible - absolutely bang on.

Ive been mixing on alesis m1 actives which while are tops imho, but lack bottom for getting bass end spot on - these mofos are just the ticket!!! so clear!!!

ya influx, i suspect they could be a tad on the bright side up tops but like you say they have done the decent thing and left em tunable (without overcomplicating them) - Nice +/-2 switches across the back for easy adjusting. Ive got them on normal settings untill i finish a mix to listen out n about, but so far I got to say they are the biz.

That manual psy- anyone else read it?- its fookin mad, especially the last page with the tests (colophon)- funny piss takin read

so..... when do i learn the secret handshake milan!?

only mackie manual I ever read was for my 1202, but Mackie manuals are well-known for being a bit humorous.

Just watch out for that bass, dude. It sounds great, but it will fatigue your ears quickly, and can sometimes make things sound thinner on other systems because you are mixing them on a system that reproduces those freqs more easily than other systems may. If you can get your hands on a boombox, or cheapo stereo, double check your mixes on those so you can see what will come through on systems that are not as accurate. Good luck.
