i was curious, i have the computer program sound forge, and i want to connect a roland vm-3100 pro mixer to the computer and run songs from my 10 track through the mixer to the computer. i just need to find out what connections the roland vm-3100 pro needs to transfer this audio. if anybody can help me that owuld be great

I answered this very question a week ago.

You need an RBus card and cable. Roland make 'em, and I think echo/event does too.

nah, but he is talking about taking sounds FROM another source, going THROUGH the mixer...as just a stereo mix?

if so, youll need a SPDIF cable and a SPDIF capable audio interface on your pooter.

If you want to do all the tracks individually, then yeah..the rbus card is required
