I don't know if people outside of the U.S. know who Yogi Berra is. He was one of the greatest
catchers in baseball. He played for the Yankees and was selected to the all-star team 15
years in a row but he's almost more well known for things he's said over the years. I think
there's even a book called Yogisms. Many are funny and quite clever. Here are a few:

"Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded."

Yogi's wife asked him one day, "You are from St. Louis, we live in New Jersey, and you played
ball in New York. If you go before I do, where would you like me to have you buried?" Yogi
answered, "Surprise me."

"Half the lies they tell about me aren't true."

"In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is."

"I wish I had an answer to that because I'm tired of answering that question."

"The future ain't what it used to be."

"The towels were so thick there I could hardly close my suitcase."

"There are some people who, if they don't already know, you can't tell 'em."

"You better cut the pizza in four pieces because I'm not hungry enough to eat six."

"You can observe a lot by just watching."

"A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore."

"Even Napoleon had his Watergate."

"I'm not going to buy my kids an encyclopedia. Let them walk to school like I did."

"If people don't want to come out to the ball park, nobody's gonna stop 'em."

"The future ain't what it used to be."

Probably his most famous quote came from when he coached the Mets. He was asked to
comment after yet another loss and he said, "It's deja vu all over again."

He was given an honorary doctorate from New York University. Accepting the honor he said to
the packed auditorium, "I'd just want to thank everyone who made this day necessary."

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

"I can't recall who did it or exactly what he did and I don't remember what year it was...but it was
a memorable moment" – Sitar 2009

Bartender at the Blarney Stone in midtown Manhattan: What was your first recollection as a
child?

Sitar after thinking for a moment: I don't remember.
