Well i've got all the gear(synth, sampler,pc
sequencer,drum machine,analogue synth)
but as I am brand spanking new to this I would
appreciate some help on how you pros go
about creating a track? Do you just experiment
until something happens or do you have a set
way of working a track? I wanna do techno/hard house. Thanks.

well, I tend to get a simple groove going over 1,2,4, or 8 bars going in a loop.......after all, as for ALL tracks, you need a hook-line, so once you have that, either with a synth or other sound, or a vocal hook, then create a verse pattern, then a chorus pattern, then string em together, creating an intro by maybe bringing stuff in bit by bit.....whatever....it's up to you really.........then add rools, breaks etc between sections.......this is a simple building block method......
