Also interested in speed garage - great music!
Pulse wave with lowpass filtering always give you a fat bass. Any advice to get deep jungle basses that sounds phat on all notes? 808-bases and sine doesn't really cut it! Pulse wave seams to be the nearest, or what.....?

How the phock do you get that wicked bass-sound used in Same Peoples "Dangerous" or that crazy tune from DreamTeam?
This must be ther characteristic bass wharp sound the first person is talkin' about.

I've tried with lp-filter with resonans on a overdriven 808-boombass-kick sample. This sounds close, but lacks "rawness".

Can I get dirty "through-a-s900-phocked-up" 909 samples anywhere on the net? I REALLY need em'!

101 is a good start for speed-garage bass.
Pitched hammond organs and Xylophones is another.
I've heard of people using "boat-horns"-samples, pitched down, reversed and compressed for bass. Sounds pretty wicked to me...

Some people who are recording D&B suggested getting TWO Novation basstations for the real fat sounding bass. Havn't tried this yet, but talking with Dexter 'nd he told me Korg Prophecy etc or Analogue thingy for most basslines. He's recording around that Dreem Team set. The sampler can do the rest of the work. But UFO I know what you mean,... the REAL bass is coming from somewhere, and I would put my money on the two Novations. Fuckit,.... graaaands and graaaands...
