After messing up my computer about two weeks ago, I have it fixed except for on thing: I don't get any sound from *.WAV files. I know that the sound card works, since the midi files and RealAudio works fine.

When I uninstall the SoundCard driver and restart the computer, it first installs by itself the necassary driver files and starts playing the Microsoft Start Music. But I guess the configuration is altered thereafter...

Any suggestions where I should be looking for ...?

if you double click on a small .WAV file on your hard drive somewhere.... what exactly happens ?...... an what Exactly are any messages displayed ?
