I mistakenly dumped CW files into my recycle bin.
Now I open a song in CW and it tells me that "missing audio events were replaced by silence"
Not good. Very bad.
I have them in the bin still, but they are "Windows" files

How do I convert them and re-load into CW??

Very upset and confused.

Thanx.

Not good indeed! But solved easily.
Select your .wa~ files in bin, then rightclick the .wa~ files. You get a little menu now. Select "put back" or something like that (I have the dutch version of win95) and windows will put your files back to Cakewalk's Wavedata directory.
Good luck,

grt Geordy

Its the guy with the lost tribe of files again
They've been found and dragged/copied into the wave data folder of CW.
However, the songs are still mostly silent. Argh...
Oh, help these woleful files(wav) find their home, please

No more .wa~ files in bin? Then start a Windows search for *.wa~ files. Find any? If yes, copy the little bastards back to where they came from: CW's Wavedata dir. If no, they are lost forever............... Perhaps you can do something with undelete, but I'm not an expert with that.

good luck!

grt, Geordy

aha..open the track..... then you go to the AUDIO setting in cakewalk... and click the ADVANCED button...... select the path for tha wavedata.... (EG: D:\wavedata)...or whatever... then the programme will look for the files wherever you copy them to.... all you need to do is assign the dir destination for cakewalk to search for the files.... then re-save the song once you get a connection... it'll then save the file path reference....to the audio folder.... it's a snip this way to have a differenrt audio folder for each song....

Hey kilo. Thanks will try that.
And, by the way, great site.
Already downloaded some o' the loops's's and messin with them.

As i understand it then if I would like to share a tune or two with you all (from CW) I would have to convert it into a WAV file to send. Yes?
