120 - Easy (ish) way to remove an ingrowing toe nail

Want to do it with out going to the Doc's? well follow this tip (I did this and my toe, 6 months on is fine although should anything go wrong don't blame me as I will not be held responsible for anything going wrong although if you follow the instructions properly, you should be fine).
You will need: a disinfected scalpol/craft knife (I used the knife), disinfected tweesers and a bowl of warm water with the correct amount of disinfectant added (e.g. Detol).
The first thing I should say is salavate through the entire op as when you do, you feel less/no pain (this has been proven). Also, it is far less painful than you think (but you sweat alot) and I was done in about 20 mins.
Firstly, get your knife and make a good deep score line as close to the ingrowing area as you can get without cutting the skin. You should be done when you can feel the knife as it runs down the line and when you score again, it hurts too much to go any deeper. Now slice up the nail (towards your foot) but stop before you get to your foot. This will give you an edge to start the tear up.
Now sit back for a few minutes but stay focused- it's too late to turn back.
Now start to salavate LOTS. Get the tweesers and grip the ingrowing side of the nail firmly and fold it out of the toe. Done properly, this won't hurt as your salavating stops the pain (I didn't feel a thing). Then tear up the score line, the quicker you do this, the quicker it's over with.
When you have the ingrowing part of the nail off, it may bleed (mine didn't as no skin came with it) so sort this out (leave it till it stops). CAREFULLY remove all the dry blood, puss etc. from the surrounding area and now stick your foor in the disinfectant (this is the most painful part).
Dry your foot and then you should probably bandage it up but I just left mine open.
This does work as I spent a long time planning and debating whether I should do it or not and now I am really glad I did it. Remember to follow the instructions CAREFULLY!!!!! and you should be fine but again, if anything goes wrong, it is your fault not mine so don't moan @ me! Once you have folded the nail out of the hole you will feel ALOT better (as long as you don't fuck up anywhere before that stage).
