it's not there SQUARE-CIRCLE S/W WAVESURGEON

SQUARE-CIRCLE S/W WAVESURGEON

Excellent budget editor.... which also does 'Re-Cycle' style loop-snipping, and will even format the resulting audio into AWE soundfonts !!.... check it out for a wicked cheap audio editor !!....
Wave Surgeon is a Wave file utility designed to automatically find loop points within a breakbeat (sample of a section of drums). It can then split the sample into pieces by using these points, and save pieces into wave files. You can then create a Standard Midi File (SMF) template file of the timing information, and if you own a Creative Labs AWE soundcard, save the samples to a SoundFont, allowing you to speedily process loops! This allows you to:

load the samples and midi file into a program such as MicroLogic or Cubase, and speed up or slow down the loop, WITHOUT changing the pitch.

use just the midi template, and replace the samples with drums of your own choosing;

automate the editing of samples, by finding snare, kick and hi-hat sounds.

transpose the loop up or down WITHOUT changing the speed.

Easily create SoundFont 2.0 files without using Vienna 2!

Excellent huh??........so...why not download it and check it out.....I think that for these facilities, which are basically pretty identicle to Steinbergs Recycle, and at the price the author is asking....IT"S A BARGAIN !!......

I'll have to get Neil (the author), to add some stuff to this page about it's more in depth facilities... I'm pretty sure he has updated it to work with Yamaha's A3000 sampler.........

I'm sorry to say I don't really need any of the features offered by the registered version. It's superb as it is.
