Man, you'll need an interface card or Unit to use, either FW400/800 or USB, then lock through W/clock/Adat sync or lightpipe - TDIF is a Parallel format, thus it takes much more fuss to connect, serial protocols like LightPipe will go 8 in/out x 2 giving you 24 In/Out on RME units and MOTU with true 24 bit/48Khz @ at a great speed.
Bus x 8 out from the Ramsa at a time (Or go Direct Line In, making Stems or Tracks (Individual) of Drums/Vox/Beats etc, and you'll chew up less CPU as you've got Hardware. The DA7 is still a nice little Digital console! Power to you *****
Grab A DAW program, and away you go man! You are........Recording!
Hope this helps!
