second stage,as a gig, SUCKS! First, you gotta
PAY! Yes! Sharon knows how many would give their
left nut to gig near Ozzy and charges accordingly.
Second, the set is only twenty or so minutes. More
time carrying heavy shit than rocking! Finally,
there are more days off per week than there are
gigs, cuzz ol' Ozzy ai'nt gonna be blowin' out his
throat playing five nights a week. I'm used to
touring on a budget and for me, a night off on the
road = money spent. So if you wanna be broke out
on the road wondering why the this 30 date
tour is taking a 100 days, Ozzfest is where it's
at!
Now, as K suggested, go have yourself a nice cold
beer in celebration of the fact that you're not

for years and have been dumbfounded when bands I
did'nt much respect got good gigs. But ya know,
you do your best and keep on going. It takes a lot
of faith. Fortunately music is it's own reward
(paying the bills might be tough but though). I
will chime in on the power of persistence though,
my band got tossed a major bone recently. One that
I think will take our careers to higher levels. It
would'nt have happened, though, if we had'nt been
putting every possible resource into making a life
of this. Still, it sometimes boils down to pure
luck.
