Spark does other stuff not documented
Spark can sequence patterns for hardware units and 3rd party software drum plugins, all without running spark as a plugin. It can do all this while functioning as centerpiece midi i/o of a combined software & hardware studio. See assorted videos of examples.

Hi I have bought the spark over 2 years now and counting. I have only used
the factory settings with my artist Ashley King. www.ashleykingmusic.com.
But I must thank you so much for your incredible tutorial. I think you are
absolutely the best.
I have just discovered you.
I also have a MPC 2500 that I have never used. If you had a tutorial session on
this it would be much appreciated.
