Korg DW6000

Great little units the DW6000 & 8000.... easy to view & follow laid out synth architecture laid oput on the front panel to accompany the menu's and cursors...

It works similar to the JX3P.... you select a parameter... say DCO-1... All the parameters are as red LED 2 digit displays... then you assign a 2 character value to that parameter like say filter cuttoff = maybe 42... so 42 appears and you set it's level to 0-99 setting... simple....

Anyways... you can I belive stack oscillators to get a layered sound.... The DW6000 is 6 note poly with 2 oscillators per voice... it's a DCO synth, but the rest is analog.... 8 different waveforms, plus Noise... and good res filters... no velocity tho..... but a great little, often looked-over real analog unit at a snip price.....These can go real cheap if you are lucky.... most people think they are junk cos it dont say 'Roland' on the front and have alot of knobs !! ......If you're looking for a nice digital synth... forget this , it's pants for that... and thus it's not rated at all... but for dance waves , with very good filters... & midi... take a look !

The DW6000 ... Comments please....

I've had this keyboard for years now and wondered if anybody out there had the factory presets. I think it might be in audio tape form - Ah! But, if it's possible to make it into a WAV or MP3 just a mono signal and I can play it back through a CD machine to see if all will be restored. Would appreciate some help. Regards Andy
